It was a tragic Sunday with four fatal road crashes in Minnesota. A five-vehicle chain reaction accident on I-94 near Clearwater killed two people from Illinois when a semi plowed into the back of several cars which were slowed due to a car fire on the side of the freeway. Seven others were injured and two are in critical condition. Earlier Sunday, the driver of a minivan died in a head-on collision with a semi hauling grain south of Breckenridge. About the same time, a head-on crash between a minivan and pickup truck killed one person in Wright County. Three others sustained minor injuries.
