Minnesota remains number one in turkey production -- and Kandiyohi, Stearns and Morrison are the top three producing counties.  Steve Olson with the Minnesota Turkey Growers Association says about ten-percent of the approximate 46-million turkeys are sold in Minnesota.  The remaining 90-percent are shipped out of the state with about 10- to 15-percent going to foreign markets.  Olson adds that Minnesota's turkey farmers bring in more than 600-million-dollars to the state's economy.
