(St. Paul, MN)  --  Fewer than ten-thousand votes separate Democrat Mark Dayton and Tom Emmer and a recount will likely be automatically triggered to determine who will be Minnesota's next governor.  Dayton held the lead through the night, but Emmer was able to close the gap as votes were counted in the early morning hours.  Independence Party candidate Tom Horner received 12-percent of the vote. With 99 percent of precincts reporting, Dayton has 43.6 percent of the vote to Emmer's 43.1 percent.
