(St. Paul, MN)  --  Governor Pawlenty met with legislative leaders today to continue trying to balance the state budget after yesterday's Supreme Court decision, which potentially makes the deficit much larger.  DFL leaders came out of a meeting  this morning saying the governor is insisting the legislature approve the unilateral cuts he made last summer which the high court's decision now puts on shakey legal ground.  Democrats have not specifically proposed raising taxes but Republican predict they will.  Pawlenty spokesman Brian McClung said "we know this can be done through cutting the size of government, reining-in spending.  You don't have to raise taxes and we don't think that's the right direction."
