(Grand Rapids, MN) -- Fire restrictions remain in effect in much of the Arrowhead Region of northeastern Minnesota, but they've been lifted in southern and central Minnesota. That means normal burning permit activities are being allowed again. The D-N-R's Jean Bergerson says campfires are allowed in the Arrowhead -- but only in designated areas. Dispersed campfires are still banned and that includes the B-W-C-A.
