(St. Paul, MN)  --  Democrats in the Minnesota House and Senate have passed their bills to balance a portion of the state budget and will now work out a compromise package, however Republicans say Governor Pawlenty's plan is the only one so far that plugs the entire budget deficit.  Senate Republicans refused to vote for a partial version of the governor's budget that Democrats brought up.  Instead, they proposed the governor's entire budget, made a few changes to it, but Democrats voted it down. Senator David Hann says Republicans aren't saying the governor's bill is perfect, but it is the best option.  Democrat Richard Cohen argues the governor relies on 400-million-dollars in President Obama's budget plan which Congress has not yet approved.
