(St. Paul, MN) -- A Red Lake man has been indicted in federal court on charges of assaulting and shooting a woman near the Redby Post Office on April 29th. Prosecutors say the victim told them 24-year-old Joseph Jackson kicked her in the head and shot her with a pistol. Jackson was arrested a few days later and remains in custody. If convicted, he faces 20-years in prison on the count of assault with intent to commit murder, and ten years on each of three other counts.
