(Undated) -- Is Minnesota's moose population expanding out of its traditional living zone? Researchers asked the public to report moose sightings over the past 11 months and have found more and more moose living in areas outside their typical territory. Researcher Ron Moen of the Natural Resources Research Institute at UMD says the sightings
can help pinpoint areas to conduct more scientific research, including G-P-S collar tracking. Moen says about 500 moose have been spotted in more than 440 locations since they asked for the public's input.
