(Undated) -- Have you ever wondered if your favorite lake is polluted? A Minnesota-based website at www.checkmylake.org will tell you if your lake is safe for you and your family. The non-profit organization, Conservation Minnesota, pulls public information from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. The site gives you a simple thumbs up, or thumbs down on swimming and recreation, fish consumption, and invasive species. If you can't find your lake, it's likely it hasn't been tested yet. This year, the MPCA added more than 100 lakes to its list of impaired lakes.
