(St. Paul, MN)  --  The 28th annual Taste of Minnesota is open for business on Harriet Island in Saint Paul.  Live music starts at 11 a.m. all four days and there are twice as many local restaurants selling food.  Admission is 20 dollars before 4 p.m. and 30 bucks for the evening. Co-owner Andy Faris says ticket sales have been great and they've actually hit their forecast numbers.  He expects more than a hundred-thousand people at the "Taste" this weekend.  Faris says there's lots to do for the kids in the family entertainment village.  The main stage lineup includes Sammy Hagar, Counting Crows and 3-11.  Admission is free for military members and veterans, senior citizens and kids under 12 with a parent.
