(Minneapolis, MN) -- Lower statewide unemployment is one of two reasons Minnesota home sales are up, while national sales numbers are way down. The Minnesota Realtors Association's Chris Galler gives the other reason December transaction numbers were up one-point-two-percent: Minnesotans have always had a high home-ownership rate. Across the nation however, December home purchases dropped 17-percent, the biggest drop in more than three years.
