NEW YORK (Billboard) - It might be common knowledge that musician Prince is a basketball fan, but the Purple One's penchant for pigskin was less apparent until Friday's unveiling of "Purple and Gold," which the Minneapolis native wrote in honor of the NFL's Minnesota Vikings.
"Praise every voice and let it be known, in the name of the purple and gold," the football anthem begins. "We come in the name of the purple and gold, all of the odds are in our favor ... long live the purple and gold!"
