(Lansing, MI)  --  The state's Unemployment Insurance Agency is issuing warnings to jobless Michigan residents that unless Congress acts soon, federal jobless benefits may expire by the end of this month.  UIA Director Stephen Geskey said thousands of people in the state will start exhausting their unemployment benefits in March if nothing is done in Washington.  He added roughly 290-thousand unemployed people in Michigan are collecting federal benefits, while 20-thousand receive extended benefits from the federal government.  This is on top of 230-thousand who are receiving state jobless payments.
