(Undated) -- A new survey shows many people are going hungry several times a month in western Minnesota. Steve Sellent (SELL'-ent) of Great Plains Food Bank says 18-percent of those with kids say their children have also had to skip meals. Sellent says tough choices are being made between buying food or paying their heating bills or medical care. Great Plains Food Bank distributed more than six-and-a-half million pounds of food in western Minnesota and North Dakota last year.  While donations were up, the number of people seeking assistance also increased.
