(St. Paul, MN) -- Officials in Saint Paul have rejected four proposals to replace the defunct "Taste of Minnesota" festival over the July 4th weekend on Harriet Island. Parks and Recreation spokesman Brad Meyer says it's in the best interest to move forward with a traditional fireworks show for 2011 and then re-evaluate for the following year. Saint Paul officials ended their business relationship with "Taste of Minnesota" organizers because of unpaid bills. Other debtors are asking the courts to place the firm in involuntary bankruptcy.
