MADISON (TSN-WSAU) Jordan Taylor scored 22 points, and his three- point play with just over one minute remaining created some breathing room, as Wisconsin upended 14th-ranked Minnesota, 68-60, in the conference opener for both teams at the Kohl Center.

Jon Leuer added 16 points and nine rebounds, while Keaton Nankivil added 11 points for Wisconsin (11-2, 1-0 Big Ten), which has won seven straight since a late November loss at Notre Dame.

Devoe Joseph and Ralph Sampson III each scored 14 points for the Golden Gophers (11-2, 0-1), who saw their five-game winning streak come to an end. Blake Hoffarber and Trevor Mbakwe scored 12 and 11 points, respectively, in defeat. Mbakwe also grabbed 11 rebounds, as Minnesota hung close due to a 41-24 rebounding edge.

The Badgers play Illinois on Sunday at 5pm.
