The Bears spotted the Vikings an early 7-0 lead but then knocked out surprise starter Brett Favre and rolled to a 40-to-14 win on "Monday Night Football". The contest was played in the snow and cold at Minnesota University’s CF Bank Stadium, where 40-thousand fans turned out for the Viking’s final home game.

Jay Cutler passed for 194 yards and three touchdowns for Chicago, which improved to 10-and-4 and clinched its third NFC North title in six years

Devin Hester had a touchdown reception and also returned a punt 64 yards for a score, setting the NFL's all-time record with his 14th career kick or punt return for touchdown.

Favre, who was not expected to start after suffering a sprained shoulder two weeks ago, warmed up shortly before the game and did start one week after his streak of 297 consecutive starts ended. The 41-year-old was 5-of-7 for 63 yards, a touchdown and one interception before being knocked out of the game with a head injury on a second-quarter sack.

Joe Webb came on and went 15-of-26 for 129 yards and two interceptions for Minnesota, which fell to 5-and-9 in its final home game of the season. Favre isn’t expected to play on Sunday at Philadelphia, but could possibly start in what could be the final game of his career when the Vikings wrap up the season January Second at Detroit.
