(Undated) -- A bike route from the Mississippi headwaters in northern Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico is closer to becoming a reality. Mn-DOT officials are expected to unveil a map of the route in the coming weeks. Spokesman Dan Collins says because it will use existing roads and bike paths, the cost for the entire project is pretty minimal. He says money will be spent only on mapping, signage and marketing.
