(Elk River, MN)  --  Elk River's varsity high school football program is on temporary suspension as officials investigate allegations that some players were subjected to hazing - in violation of school policy.  School District 728 spokesman Casey Mahon (MAY-hawn) says coaches and students are being questioned.  He say he's not aware that any students suffered physical harm from the alleged hazing and declined to describe what supposedly took place.  Mahon says a law firm retained by the school district is leading the investigation and police will not get involved unless charges are pressed.  He says the school hopes to have the matter cleared up by the time Elk River plays its first scheduled game September 2nd.
