(Brainerd, MN) -- If you're heading up north this weekend, specifically to the Brainerd lakes area, expect heavy traffic starting today. Around 100-thousand people are expected to attend the annual N-H-R-A Lucas Oil national drag races at Brainerd International Raceway. Mn-DOT says area highways, specifically Highway-371, will have delays and sudden stops. The drag races run today through Sunday and drivers who aren't on the track are asked to give themselves plenty of time and to be patient.
