(Undated)  --  The firm RealtyTrac says 367-thousand properties in the U-S received foreclosure filings in March -- the highest total since it started keeping track five years ago. In Minnesota, the mortgage foreclosure rate was 25-percent higher in March than it was in February.  New figures also show a 22-percent jump over March of last year. Daren Blomquist says Minnesota ranks right in the middle of the pack among the states.  Blomquist says many mortgage holders are giving up and going into default because their mortgage debt is higher than the value of their home.  He says high unemployment is also driving more people out of their homes.
