Minnesota lost 18 hundred jobs in March resulting in a tenth of a percent increase in the state's unemployment rate from February. The March rate in Minnesota is 7.4 percent while the national unemployment rate for the month was unchanged at 9.7 percent. Job losses occurred in trade, transportation and utilities. The Duluth-Superior metropolitan statistical area reported a 2.2 percent job loss in March.
