(Minneapolis, MN) -- Even though the calendar reads April, there is still time to donate toward the March Food Drive campaign. Officials extended the March campaign through this Friday because of spring flooding and the timing of Easter this year. Sue Kainz with Minnesota FoodShare says the goal is to raise a combined 12-million pounds and dollars of food. In 2009, foodshelf use across the state increased by 25-percent, adding an urgency to this year's food drive.
