USA Men's Curling Gets a Win vs. Denmark

by Rachel

It's been a rough go so far for the USA Men's Curling Team as they have dropped their first two matches in the Round Robin Sessions at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. They did not play in the first session. Then lost to Norway 4-7 on Monday in Session 2. They also lost to China 4-9 in Session 3 yesterday.

But earlier today, Team USA made up of our very own Northlanders, John Shuster and Jared Zezel, as well as fellow Minnesotans Jeff Isaacson and John Landsteiner, won their Session 4 Round Robin Match 9-5 against Denmark.

Team USA's next match is tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 when they will face Great Britain. There are 12 Round Round Sessions with tie breaker sessions scheduled for February 18th if needed. The semi-finals are scheduled February 19th. The bronze and gold medal games for Men's Curling will be on February 21st.

Here's hoping Team USA gets enough wins to make it to the gold medal game!

Now if only I could figure out how this whole curling thing works. It's time for me to study up.
