First look at Batman's new costume?

by Greg Belfrage

The high degree of interest in the upcoming "Superman vs Batman" movie is fueling all kinds of speculation.

Word is out that Ben Affleck's costume for the movie is entirely new and extremely cool.

In his latest online "Hollywood Babble On" podcast, comic book guru Kevin Smith says he hugged director Zach Snyder after seeing the new Batsuit.

"I saw the Batman costume. More than that I saw a picture of him (Affleck) in the costume... You have not seen this costume in a movie on film before, and for a comic book fan, it was mind bending."
Numerous reports say Affleck's new Batsuit is based on the 2011 "Batman: Noel" graphic novel.

Other rumors are flying that Dick Grayson will be in the movie, but not as Robin. Reports say Grayson will appear as Nightwing... and that Bruce and Dick will have been estranged for a number of years.

That fits with another rumor saying Affleck's Batman will be an older character than we've seen in the films previously.

I've also read reports that Wonder Woman will be in the movie. This would make good sense if Warner Brothers plans to launch a Wonder Woman solo film, as has also been reported. It also sets up the major characters for the long-discussed Justice League movie.

Personally, I don't put too much stock in any of these rumors. However, its fun to speculate about what is sure to be a huge blockbuster movie.
