Best Tribute Song Ever!

by Nick Vitrano

I’ve never cared much for former Wisconsin Badgers head football coach Bret Bielema as a dude.  Arrogant, aggressive, generally unlikable - I don’t know that I have a real positive thing to say about the man.  Granted, I’ve never hung out with the guy.  I simply never got a good vibe from him.

However, BB won an awful lot of football games for my home-state University of Wisconsin.  Back-to-back-to-back Big Ten titles and subsequent Rose Bowl appearances were a blast to be a part of.  I’ve got great memories and even better sports memorabilia from the winning tradition that was WI football under Bielema.  What esteem I reserve for the man, I wholly extend to the coach.  The guy did his job and did it historically well.  I’m hopeful that I won’t miss that.

It is precisely his penchant for victory that has all of Arkansas excited at his hire…perhaps none as elated as this dude.  Eat your heart out, Weird Al:

That might be the best tribute song ever recorded.  And by best, I mean most tragically awful.  I especially enjoy the offerings of his “off-stage” pal, Henley.  I’m sure April Gain-WhateverHeSaid is so happy for the shout-out!

Thanks to Daniel Yanke for passing along this link that I should have shared months ago!
