GAGA DEBUTS A NEW SONG
People that attended Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara Ball over the weekend got quite the treat. Lady Gaga performed a brand new song live for the very first time. It’s called “You and I,” and the pop star wrote on her Twitter that the tune was written in New York City using the piano that she “grew up on.”

DAUGHTRY GETS PERSONAL ABOUT “SEPTEMBER”
Chris Daughtry got personal about his songwriting over the weekend. The former American Idol contestant wrote on his Twitter account that he heard his band’s song “September” on the radio, and that it’s the “most excited” that he’s ever been to hear one of their tunes on the air. He also wrote that as a songwriter, it’s the track that he’s “most proud of.”
SHERYL CROW BRINGS SON ON STAGE
Sheryl Crow turned her set at Lilith Fair on Sunday in Canada into a family affair. During the performance of her hit song “Every Day is a Winding Road,” the singer-songwriter brought her three-year-old son Wyatt on stage. According to Contact Music, he wore protective-headphones and danced along by his mother’s side.
BIG NAMES AT THE VH1 DO SOMETHING AWARDS
The line-up for the Vh1 Do Something Awards has just been announced. According to a press release, the show will feature performances by Natasha Bedingfield, Lifehouse and Travie McCoy with Bruno Mars. The show is going to be hosted by Glee star Jane Lynch, and celebrates five young people that are doing their best to try and change the world for the better. The Do Something Awards air live from Los Angeles on Monday, July 19th at 8 PM on Vh1.
THE EDGE PERFORMS WITH MUSE
There were tons of special guests at the Glastonbury Festival in England over the weekend and U2 guitarist The Edge was one of them. The famous axeman played alongside Muse during their set and fans can see pics now at www.U2.com. Edge even performed the iconic first few chords of “Where The Streets Have No Name.” U2 were scheduled to play the event but had to pull out after Bono underwent emergency back surgery.
BLACK EYED PEAS STAY STRONG
Rumors began swirling over the weekend that Fergie and will.i.am had been feuding. There were also reports that the Black Eyed Peas and Fergie would be parting ways. Will.i.am squashed the rumors on Twitter writing: "Don't believe gossip about Fergie leaving the group (we are never breaking up) it's all lies!!!" Will also said the band is a family and they are not going anywhere.
BRANDON FLOWERS ON GOING SOLO
On September 14th, Brandon Flowers will release his first ever solo album, but Killers fans want to know why the singer has decided to go alone for this one. He told Rolling Stone, “This isn’t about getting attention or proving something, it’s just what I’m accustomed to doing.” So will it sound like The Killers? Flowers says no adding, “These songs have an isolation to them that Killers records don’t have.
