ROB THOMAS IS HEADING OUT ON TOUR

 

Rob Thomas is heading out on tour this summer, and it’s going to be very special. According to a press release, the matchbox twenty frontman will be touring North America, playing a “stripped down” show, with all proceeds going to benefit the Sidewalk Angels Foundation, the charity Rob and his wife started to address social issues for both humans and animals. The tour kicks off July 15th in Rama, Ontario, Canada and wraps up on August 28th in Biloxi, Mississippi. LEONA LEWIS MAKES BIG BUCKS

 

Leona Lewis is England’s wealthiest young musician. According to the Sunday Times Rich List: Young Music Millionaires Aged 30 and Under, the X-Factor winner is at the top, worth over 11-million pounds, or around 15-million dollars. Other notables on the list include Natasha Bedingfield and Lily Allen, worth six-million and five-million pounds, respectively.

 

KATY PERRY WANTS TO GIVE UP SMOKING

 

Katy Perry wants to give up smoking by any means necessary. According to British paper the Daily Mirror, the pop star told a friend that it’s her impending wedding to Russell Brand that has made her take up the habit, and that she’s been thinking about “going to have hypnotherapy” to help her break it. She went on to say that smoking is a “bad habit” and that she would never tell kids that it’s cool.

 

MELISSA ETHERIDGE ON DWTS

 

Dancing with the Stars is going to be even better than usual this week. That’s because Melissa Etheridge is going to be celebrating the release of her latest album, Fearless Love, by performing the titled track on the hit ABC show. And not only that, but the singer-songwriter will also be performing her timeless tune “Come to My Window” as well. Be sure to catch Melissa on tonight’s episode of Dancing with the Stars when it airs at 7 PM on ABC.

 

IS JOHN MAYER DONE WITH TWITTER?

 

Could John Mayer’s days on Twitter be coming to an end? The singer-songwriter spoke about the social networking site at a question-and-answer session at the ASCAP expo late last week, and Mayer said that he’s being thinking about canceling Twitter “every night for the last two weeks.” He also said that “the only positive thing on Twitter is saying 'Thank you' and directing [followers] to something cool and important.” Last we checked, Mayer’s Twitter was still up and running.

 

TWO VERSIONS OF MADONNA’S “VOGUE”

 

Glee star Jane Lynch’s version of Madonna’s classic “Vogue” became an Internet sensation after it aired on the hit FOX program last week. And now, someone has put both “Sue Sylvester” and Madonna’s “Vogue” videos side by side to see just how accurate Glee was in copying the original.

THE SCRIPT LIKE CAROLINA LIAR

 

Carolina Liar have fans in Ireland. That’s because The Script drummer Glen Power took to the band’s Twitter account to say that he loves the group’s hit song “Show Me What I’m Looking For.” Power also wrote that he’s had the chance to hang out with frontman Chad Wolf and the rest of the group and that they are “sound lads.”
