New Plan for your favorite area lake?

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is preparing individual fisheries management plans for 21 lakes and one trout stream in Itasca County and west-central St. Louis County, and is inviting the public to comment on those plans until March 26.

So is your favorite lake on the list of those that are being looked at for new management plans? Here's the list:

Lakes: Balsam, Lower Balsam, Lost Moose, Sand (Near Max), Thistledew, Hartley, Smith, Willow, Trestle, Lake of Isles, Dunbar, Helen, Rice (near Cohasset), Lucky, Stone, Beatrice, O’Reilly, Island, Shamrock, Little Moose and Little Bear.

Stream: Smith Creek.
