Phillip Seymour Hoffman dies

Oscar winning actor Phillip Seymour Hoffman was found dead yesterday in his New York apartment. He was 46.


Phillip Seymour Hoffman appeared in more than 50 films and was an incredible stage actor as well. He struggled for years with substance abuse admitting becoming addicted to anything and everything after graduating from NYU.

Hoffman got his first professional stage role when he was still in high school. After high school he studied acting at NYU and landed his first film role in Scent of a Woman when he was 24. He went on to play major parts in amazing movies including the Capote for which he won an Oscar for Best Actor.
